Karina Meijs is a IATSE Local 764 costume technician based in New York City. She is originally from Melbourne, Australia. She currently works as a first hand at The Metropolitan Opera in NYC. The past five summers she has spent working in the costume shop of the Santa Fe Opera in New Mexico, USA. Previously she had been working professionally at theatres around the United States including Long Wharf Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse and Phoenix Theatre. Highlights include making hats for Season 4 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at Lynne Mackey Studio in 2021.
In 2013, she graduated from Swinburne University of Technology with her Diploma of Costume for Performance. Prior to that, she earned her Certificates II and III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology.
